Within a circle, Shiʿa kalima, ‘lā ilāha illā Allāh Muḥammad rasūl Allāh ʿAlī walī Allāh’ (‘There is no deity but Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. Ali is the friend of Allah’ in Arabic). Rev. Within a circle, ‘bande-ye shāh-e velāyat Safi / zarb-e Teflis 1039’ (‘Safi, the servant of the king of guardianship [i.e., ʿAli]. Struck in Tiflis, 1039’ in Persian). Album 2638.1. Rare and nicely toned. Light scratches, otherwise, good very fine.
